Do grandis turn that blue color that i saw the zoo pics?

Post by DHemby » Thu Jan 08, 2009 8:54 am

Hello one an all, im back to the forum and have a question. In the post i saw by Marnix, I noticed that the larger grandis had a blueish tent to them. Does that happen as they age? Is that normal? My 2 females are about 10" maybe 11", and are very well taken care of ( almost fat!). I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A MALE LIKE THAT (for them, that just sounded weird)! I will post newer pics tomorrow when i can figure out this camera.

Hi Dan,
Welcome back :D
That male and the biggest female have an exceptional coloration. (It's not clear in the photos but the big female had a similar colour.)
I haven't seen it before. Most grandises don't get that bluish colour.
I'm waiting for your new pics ;-)
