Phoenix AZ?

Post by DHemby » Sun Mar 16, 2008 12:04 am

Does anyone in the phoenix Arizona area sale H grandis? I have been reading up on breeding projects and id like to get one maybe two males for my two girls. I have plenty of tanks, lots of love, and would truly enjoy seeing there numbers rise. Please contact me with any info or even more breeding info. Especially wild matting habits! You can never learn too much!

Did you see this page? locations.php
Phoenix Zoo keeps grandises. I don't remember where I got that information from and it may be outdated. But you could check it out...

Ive been to the phx zoo SEVERAL times, and ive not seen a grandis yet. I will say that they usualy have most the reptile exhibits blocked off. They are always doing something with the habitats so i havent seen all there exhibits. I will contact a currator to see if i can get a viewing and maybe bid on a male. You are a awesome site administrator, quick answer time. Thanks. :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks Dan :D
It would be nice if you could buy a male, or get one on a breeding loan. Let me know how things work out.

Its rare to find this species in the states. Ive been able to locate a few specimen but no males. most breeders in the states think they have turtle gold and ask more for older ones. its disheartening. Most of them on ur list only have hatchings and i dont want to put a young one threw the stress of shipping. Plus my females are good size and need companions near there size.
